The Noctura RTX 3080 GPU from Asus is breathtaking

When it comes to PC cooling, Noctua is recognised for more than just being the quietest and most effective brand available. And by “Noctua brown,” I mean the unique shade of brown found on its admirers. You can take your eyes from it for a second and still remember what it is.

There are many devoted customers, despite the fact that the Austrian vendor’s colour schemes remain a frequent target of online ridicule. Not only in terms of the superiority of their wares, but also in terms of the aesthetic value of the colour brown. Fortunately for the rest of us, Asus recently debuted the newest device from its collaboration with Noctua at CES 2023. What’s more, it’s fantastic.

If you’re looking for a graphics card, the Asus GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition is without a doubt the most impressive option available. As with the RTX 3070 and 3080 models, Asus did a fantastic job of making the Noctua aesthetic shine. The front shroud is a piece of beauty, while the bronzey backplate and large cooling fins on the back and sides give off an impression of sophistication. The chrome highlights and dark brown frame complement Noctua’s neutral colour scheme of beige and white. There’s an owl on the greeting card!

It’s the company’s dedication to its namesake and mascot, the Noctua owl, that makes me overlook the RTX 4080’s exorbitant price tag. See the card in action in the video clip above, but be warned: if you want one, you’ll have to do some serious saving up. It takes up 4.3 tall slots since this card is so big. It’s presumably not going to come cheap, though, considering the uncertainty that still surrounds its pricing and availability.
