According to the recent tweets from well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, it’s possible that Apple may not release any new iPads this year. Nonetheless, the tablet may be getting a major overhaul as soon as next year. Kuo predicts that in2024, Apple may introduce the world to the first folding iPad.
The new folding iPad design would benefit Anjie Technology, Kuo said in a tweet. He also said that the carbon fibre kickstand that will Apple included in the folding iPad will make it both lightweight and sturdy. According to Kuo, the aforementioned business supplies the carbon fibre frame for the foldable iPad.
A new iPad mini, Kuo added, might be introduced by Apple in the first quarter of 2024. When the iPad’s foldable version is released next year, he believes sales will increase. If what Kuo claims is true, we may expect Apple to release its foldable iPad sometime in the second part of this year.
As far as we know, this isn’t the first time a foldable iPad has been proposed. Apple is working on a foldable display that might be as large as 20 inches, says Ross Young, an analyst at Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC). Apple is reportedly working on a foldable OLED display that would be 20.25 inches in size when completely unfurled and 15.3 inches when folded, according to a prior story from The Elec.
