A leaked image of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 suggests a major camera boost

As we near the planned August launch date of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, fresh leaks shed some insight on the camera arrangement we can expect from this premium folding device.

Expert tipster Ice Universe predicts that the phone will include a triple camera configuration on the back, with a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. Similarly, a source claims that Samsung’s 12MP 3x zoom camera will be the “strongest 3x camera ever.”

That is to say, it will outperform the 10MP 3x zoom camera on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which was released earlier this year and also features a 10x optical zoom.

Camera configurations that might be used in the future

Until now, there has been much speculation about how Samsung might improve the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s rear camera module, which has a 12MP wide camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 12MP telephoto 2x optical zoom camera.

Galaxy Z Fold 4 leakers claim it would sport a 10MP 3x zoom camera, which would be in line with Samsung’s manufacturing techniques for the S22 series of smartphones.

It has also been speculated that the forthcoming foldable phone would include a 108MP primary camera, which is a significant advance above the present Galaxy S22’s Ultra camera.

Story thus far of Galaxy Z Fold 4

There has been a lot of conjecture and rumours regarding the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 over the last several months, as expected for a device with such a high reputation. The clamshell Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is expected to follow.

To make the Galaxy Z Fold 4 easier to slip into a pocket, we’ve been hearing that the device will be thinner and lighter than its predecessor. According to another report, Samsung expects to sell a lot more 2022 foldables than the 2021 models, which are expected to be less popular.

As predicted, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is not likely to include a built-in slot for the S Pen pen (and nor did the Galaxy Z Fold 3). For now, it is expected that the cover screen would be somewhat smaller than the one on its predecessor, at 6.19 inches.

Additionally, we’ve heard that the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s battery capacity will match that of its predecessor, so 4,400mAh – and that Samsung may lower the price of the foldable device, which is encouraging. We’ll know for sure in a few months.
