One Week Countdown: Samsung Unpacked Event to Unveil Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6

We’re just a week away from Samsung’s next Unpacked event on July 10th, where we’ll finally see the new Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. However, leaker Evan Blass has already spilled the beans, revealing all the specs and marketing materials you could want to know.

What’s New and Exciting?

Both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 come with some impressive upgrades. Here are the standout features:

  • Lighter and Longer-Lasting: Both models are lighter and promise longer battery life despite being slightly thinner.
  • Screen Enhancements: There are subtle yet important changes to the screens. Notably, the Z Flip 6 now lets you use Samsung’s Interpreter Mode on the front cover screen, making it easier to communicate in different languages.
  • Vapor Chamber Cooling: The Z Flip 6 is the first in the series to feature vapor chamber cooling, ensuring it runs smoothly even during heavy use.

IP48 Ingress Protection

Both devices boast an IP48 ingress protection rating. While this isn’t the dust resistance needed to prevent long-term hinge damage, it does offer protection against solid objects 1mm in size or larger. Samsung might have simply chosen not to claim this rating for previous models.
