Google is about to activate its Stadia streaming service this month. Although you can play on Chrome or your TV (with Chromecast Ultra), you can also play games like Destiny 2 and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey on some pixel devices.
To prepare you for the big day on November 19, Google has added the Stadia app to the Google Play store.
With the app, which will eventually be available on iOS and other Android devices, you can manage your account and your controllers, buy tracks, and launch games on Chromecast Ultra. Once you’ve signed in with a Google Account, you’ll be asked for an invitation code from the Stadia Founders package or Premiere Edition before you can proceed.
The Play Store list indicates that you can access your games library from the Home tab. An Explorer tab, on the other hand, appears to contain community posts as well as links to Stadia’s presence on YouTube, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, and Discord. They also see which friends are online and what they are playing.
Stadia will work with some Chrome OS, Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 4 tablets, as well as browsers and Chromecast Ultra. The service will be more widely available next year.
