Although Apple is easing up on restrictions for third-party repairs, opting for items from the official repair program ensures optimal functionality.

Performing DIY repairs on the iPhone 16 series does require some technical skill, particularly for the Pro models which use adhesive-based traditional batteries, as opposed to the newer models with electrically-detachable batteries.
