Wear OS 5 Update Now Available for Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch FE Model

Samsung is accelerating the deployment of its One UI 6 Watch update, extending it to earlier models including the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch FE. Initially released with the new Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 7 this year, the rollout is now reaching additional devices.

Reports from users in Europe on Reddit indicate that the update is starting to show up on Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch FE models. However, the availability varies by region, with a user in Malaysia noting the update on their Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.

Currently, the update is being released to Bluetooth models first, with LTE models scheduled to receive it later. There have been no indications yet of the One UI 6 Watch update being available for Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch FE users in the US.

This extensive update, nearly two gigabytes, enhances Samsung Health and Galaxy AI functionalities. It introduces new features such as an Energy Score, advanced Sleep Analysis, and enriched Race/Workout Routines, aimed at providing users with more detailed health and fitness insights.

With the Galaxy Watch 6 series having just received the update, Samsung appears to be increasing the pace of its rollout. Updates for LTE models and North American versions are expected to follow soon. The update has also begun appearing on the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, with a broader rollout anticipated shortly. Meanwhile, Galaxy Watch 4 series users are eagerly awaiting their turn for the One UI 6 Watch update.
