A new leak depicts Mobvoi’s TicWatch Pro 5, which might include Wear OS 3

For those of you who have been holding out for information on Mobvoi’s next smartwatch, the wait is over. Some facts about the next-generation TicWatch from Mobvoi have been revealed in a leaked render.

Kuba Wojciechowski, a notorious leaker, has done what they do best today: posted a fresh leak on Twitter. This latest leak may provide the first glimpse at Mobvoi’s forthcoming TicWatch.

It turns out that the device might be rebranded as the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5 rather than the TicWatch Pro 4. If you’re wondering why the corporation skipped from 10 to20, it’s not for the same reason that Samsung did. This is due largely to the superstitious belief that the number four portends ill fortune in Chinese culture.

Moreover, Wojciechowski asserts that the wristwatch will use a Snapdragon W5 Plus processor and Wear OS 3. It was announced that Mobvoi will be the first company to use Qualcomm’s new wearable platforms with the Snapdragon W5 Plus CPU. The initial release date of 2022 for this timepiece never came to fruition.

One can observe that there have been some minor adjustments made to the design in comparison to the one shown. The elimination of one crown from what was formerly two is the most obvious alteration. Also, unlike the TicWatch Pro 3, its bezel is textured. The bezel seems to have been reduced in size.

Our TicWatch Pro E3 review awarded it a mediocre 4 out of 5 stars due to the issues we encountered with its activity and sleep monitoring, as well as its low-quality strap and outdated operating system. We can only hope that these previous failures may be remedied by the new TicWatch.
