On February 1st, the Samsung Galaxy S23 is most likely to be unveiled

According to pictures released by leaker Ice Universe on Twitter, the Colombian version of Samsung’s website suggests the firm will announce its new Galaxy S23 array of phones on February 1. Samsung has promised “epic moments” at the upcoming Unpacked presentation, but the announcement is no longer online on the site.

The website just mentions registering to “meet the next Galaxy,” so it doesn’t explicitly state that the S23 series will be introduced there, but it’s a safe bet that it will be since Samsung often unveils its top conventional phones in the fall. The website also displayed a triple camera setup, very similar to the S22 series (with the exception of the protruding bulge on the S22 and S22 Plus).

I’m particularly interested in hearing whether or if Samsung will bring up Snapdragon Satellite. Similar to Apple’s introduction of emergency messaging with the iPhone 14, Qualcomm’s technology will be available in top Android phones by the middle of 2023. Since the S23 is expected to be one of the first high-end Android phones released this year, it will be fascinating to watch whether the phone can communicate with satellites and if Samsung acknowledges this capability on stage as something coming later this year. It’s likely that I won’t have to wait too long to find out.
