According to Twitter, paying Blue subscribers will now have conversations prioritised

For its $8 monthly subscription service, Twitter Blue, users now have “prioritised ranks in chats” and may submit films up to 60 minutes in length, among other updates.

Elon Musk, Twitter’s owner, has long vowed to promote Twitter Blue members’ profiles. Priority in responses, mentions & search, which is vital to battle spam & fraud,” he promised in November, and the firm reiterated this promise earlier this month, claiming Twitter Blue would provide “priority ranking in search, mentions, and replies.”

Interacting with Tweets will result in your responses being shown more prominently.

Priority answers have been implemented, according to a change to the company’s Twitter Blue support website. Company representatives are vague on the functionality, adding simply, “This feature prioritises your answers on Tweets that you engage with.”

Twitter’s algorithm for sorting responses to a tweet now apparently takes into account whether or not the user pays for Blue in addition to previously visible considerations like the tweet’s time of posting and its popularity. Twitter support claimed earlier this month that the feature’s goal was to “reduce the visibility of scams, spam, and bots,” but other users have voiced concern that paying for priority may provide bad actors an easy method to promote their posts.

Twitter Blue users now have the option of uploading films up to 60 minutes in length, 2GB in storage, and 1080p quality, in addition to receiving priority answers. Twitter notes in a support page that it may have to adjust “the quality and bitrate of the original video while streaming depends on the speed and stability of the viewer’s internet connection.” This function is only accessible on the web. In addition, Blue users may already take use of features like bookmark folders, a reader interface for lengthy discussions, and temporary tweet deletion.
