Price Increases For Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Phones Are Possibile

Depending on where you live, you may have to shell out extra money if you want to upgrade to Samsung’s next Galaxy S23 series. The forthcoming flagship phones from Samsung are expected to cost more than the Galaxy S22 series did, at least in some European markets, according to credible leaker Roland Quandt. If you reside in the US, though, costs are expected to remain stable.

According to a tweet by analyst Roland Quandt, the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version of the Galaxy S23 will cost 959 euros in Spain, while the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage version of the Galaxy S23 Ultra will set you back 1,589 euros. The Galaxy S22 costs 859 euros and the Galaxy S22 Ultra costs 1,459 euros, at least according to Samsung’s Spanish website. Germany and the Czech Republic both anticipate a rise in prices along these lines. According to 9to5Google, the Galaxy S23 may cost AUS$100 more than the S22 line.

The rumours of price hikes emerge as inflation remains at stubbornly high levels, driving up the cost of the components and raw materials needed to construct a smartphone.

If Samsung sticks to the same pattern it has used for the past three generations, the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and the top-end Galaxy S23 Ultra will be unveiled during the company’s annual Unpacked event on February 1 in San Francisco.
