Finally rolling out support for Live Activities on iPhone is Uber and Uber Eats

A new tool is being rolled out by Uber and Uber Eats that will allow consumers to monitor the status of their transportation or food order on their iPhones without being inundated with alerts.

Live Activities, a new feature in iOS 16 that lets users to keep tabs on items in real time via a constantly updated widget on the Lock Screen, was enabled in both applications with today’s rollout. Users may now utilise the widget to monitor the progress of their oncoming automobile or food delivery order instead of receiving an overwhelming number of push alerts.

The feature was said to be coming to both applications this week, and it appears to have arrived promptly.

The iPhone 14 Pro has improved live-action features.

This June, at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2022, the company debuted its new Live Activities feature. “helps customers keep on top of things that are happening in real time,” the firm says of the feature. “This might be anything from a sports event to a workout to a ride-share to a food delivery order, and all of this can be accessed directly from the Lock Screen.”

Several applications, including Uber, Nike Run Club, and the TV app for sports, have been showcased by the business as using the new functionality. In many cases, it would be good to keep tabs on events as they unfold in real time, but doing so has traditionally required receiving a flood of push alerts. While the notifications themselves worked as intended, sending them one after another was inefficient.

It is the hope of Live Activities that they can provide a superior answer to this issue. Lock Screen users will be able to stay on top of breaking news thanks to a constantly refreshed ticker at the screen’s base.

Additionally, Live Activities will be accessible via the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. If you’re an iPhone owner, you can check on your 3 a.m. McDonald’s order in two locations.
