You can now lock your incognito session in Chrome for Android

Android users may now lock their incognito sessions with a password code or biometric data when they quit the app thanks to a new Chrome version that is now rolling out. The functionality has long been accessible to iOS users, but it is now being made available to Android Chrome users.

By selecting the “Lock incognito tabs when you close Chrome” checkbox under Chrome Settings > Privacy & Security, users may enable this functionality. So, the next time a user closes Chrome, their incognito session will be shut automatically. You may use the phone’s biometric unlock, such as a fingerprint unlock or lock code, to open the incognito tabs.

When looking for a subject that you don’t want to show up in your recommendations or history, this function works nicely.

Even if you are running the most recent version of Google, the update may not yet be accessible to you as the company has just recently begun spreading it out. If so, you may activate the flag by typing “chrome:/flags/#incognito-reauthentication-for-android” and immediately unlock the capability.

Google said that it is also improving its Safety Check function as part of a larger upgrade to provide consumers more targeted suggestions about the permissions they have shared with certain sites. For instance, Safety Check will ask you to modify notification access settings if a site is sending out too many messages.
