Masahiro Sakurai, the director of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, has hinted what’s next for him as well as not just the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch OLED game but for himself following the reveal of Sora, the last DLC character in the game.
In a recent interview, Sora’s creator, Mr. Sakurai, stated that the development of each DLC character begins with his or her proposal, implying that he or she solely or at least mostly decides who will be DLC.
It appears that the only things keeping me from playing this game are not being able to play it, and having no idea when I’ll be able to do so. According to Sakurai, all that’s left now is PR, managing events, and fine-tuning.
In a nutshell, while the PR and marketing team continue to work on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it appears that the rest of the staff is taking a break, or moving on to the next project. That being said, it’s worth noting that much of this comes from Push Dustin’s translation of a Famitsu column.
The game is now available, worldwide, on the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch OLED.
