JigSpace Raises $13 Million as Apple Vision Pro Launches in Australia

Melbourne-based augmented reality (AR) startup JigSpace has raised $13 million in a funding round led by Breakthrough Victoria, aligning with the Australian launch of the Apple Vision Pro, starting at $5,999. The funding round also saw contributions from Aura Ventures, Anorak Ventures, Rampersand, Investible, Vulpes Ventures, and angel investor Hugh Bickerstaff. This comes after JigSpace’s $6 million Series A round in 2021.

JigSpace’s platform lets users turn CAD models into 3D presentations, known as ‘Jigs’. These Jigs are used for training, sales, marketing, and product education. The platform is designed to be user-friendly, enabling individuals of all technical skill levels to create and share 3D visualizations easily. “The era of spatial computing has arrived, and we’ve spent years positioning JigSpace at the forefront of this technological shift,” said Zac Duff, CEO of JigSpace.

Apple CEO Tim Cook recently praised JigSpace, saying, “JigSpace is doing incredible things… something you can’t really do on a flat, 2D screen.” JigSpace has been spotlighted in four Apple keynotes, including the announcement of the Vision Pro and its official launch. Their demo app is pre-installed on the Apple Vision Pro and iPads worldwide, making their innovative AR technology widely accessible.

With the Apple Vision Pro priced at $5,999 for the 256GB model, $6,349 for the 512GB model, and $6,699 for the 1TB model, JigSpace’s app helps democratize access to advanced AR technology. The app is also available on macOS, Windows, and Android devices, broadening its reach.

With the new funding, JigSpace plans to expand its capabilities and reach, continuing to innovate in the AR space and enhancing its platform to be even more intuitive and powerful for users around the world.
