Google fixes Pixel 6 bug that randomly dialed your contacts.

At least for people in your contact list, Google has addressed one of the Pixel 6’s more aggravating flaws. Android Police reports that Google has released a fix for a software bug that randomly auto-dialed individuals in your contacts.

The problem is caused by faulty Google Assistant hotword detection.

There have been a number of Pixel 6 issues. Owners of the Android 12 flagship have complained about screen flickering, slow fingerprint recognition, and other irritations.
