Rumors from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggest that the next Apple Watch—potentially called Series 10 or Apple Watch X—will feature larger displays and a slimmer design, offering a fresh take on the device. Interestingly, Apple is also reportedly planning to introduce a plastic version of its lower-cost Watch SE, a material choice that would be a first for the product line.

The Apple Watch has followed a fairly predictable release pattern since its first model was unveiled in 2014 and launched in 2015. Apple could stick to this timeline, releasing the Series 10 now, or they might wait to debut a special anniversary edition later next year.

In terms of specifics, Gurman mentions that both versions of the Series 10—codenamed N217 and N218—are expected to sport larger screens, nearly matching the size of the Apple Watch Ultra’s display. On the other hand, the Ultra 3 model, while set to receive a new chip that could enhance its performance, isn’t likely to undergo a major design overhaul.

However, if you’re looking forward to seeing Apple’s new AI suite, Apple Intelligence, integrated into the Apple Watch, you might need to temper your expectations. Gurman notes that this feature will initially be rolled out to the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, followed by the Vision Pro, with no immediate plans to bring it to the Apple Watch.
