The Fortnite black hole event is finally over! To close season 10, Epic Games closed Fortnite … yes, even the lobby. At the end of a gigantic countdown, the island was sucked into a black hole, which everyone was forced to watch for nearly 40 hours. But at the end of the tunnel, there was light. And with this in mind, we have Season 11 – or, to be more specific, Chapter 2!
Fortnite Battle Royale is back, now labeled as “Fortnite Chapter 2.” And after such an epic event (ha, puns), the game had to come back with some changes. But while some were expected, many were unprecedented.
The team does not have full release notes – can you imagine the size of it? – but you must know some major changes to the game. Find out what we discovered you need to know now.
Obviously, the first thing you will notice when you make your first fall of Fortnite Chapter 2 is the new map. As expected, the new season erased the old map, but the two-day hiatus that followed was a little unexpected.
What happened is … well, rather revolutionary. Now, all Fortnite players are going to this epic new island that Epic has prepared:
As we will see later, there is a ton of water to find. But there are also exciting new areas to discover, such as the fragmentary Steamy Stacks, the Misty Meadows Hills and the Sweaty Sands Beachfront. Of course, Retail Row is sort of back because you can not kill American companies, or what this western conglomerate is.
An image high of a thousand can not give a perfect idea of what needs to be found, so be sure to explore everywhere!
Did you have custom key combinations for your controllers or keyboard? That’s it for those.
It seems that the patch has not only brought a new map, but also new default controls. It’s pretty boring and impractical, especially if you’re someone like me who changes the keyboard half. Worse, however, can be players with “accessible” controllers that need to be readjusted.
If you have changed something, be sure to set your settings and correct them. Do not want to jump when you wanted to crouch! (Or vice versa.)
If you missed your chance to go to the pool or the beach this summer, you’re in luck. It looks like Fortnite has added, first a few extra water areas, as you can see on the previous map. And it’s not for nothing. Before, you had to go through the swamps and the rest slowly to find loot or go from one place to another. Now the water is a little more exciting.
First of all, you can now dive a little faster. Players can swim instead of waddling in water-covered areas such as the new river or new lake around the new island. If this is not the case, your team now has the option of taking a small fast boat to navigate the waters.
If you have a free minute or little, you can also fish! You will find fishing rods around the watered area; take one and relax by the water. In the water can be provisions, weapons and small disposable cans.
Pick up bodies
Yes, you read that right. You can literally pick up the bodies now, in case your friend does not crawl fast enough. That means you can lift them up and go somewhere safe enough to heal them before someone reaches them.

Conversely, it seems that you can also capture your enemies. And if you are in the right position, you can apply good old fall damage by repairing them from the applicable height:
