Recent Pixel Fold leaks depict a wide, floppy boy

Unofficial renderings of the Google Pixel Fold surfaced last month, providing the first look at the smartphone since it was announced. One of the leakers has now put up a 360-degree film and some concept art.

The device’s 3D CAD blueprints have been rendered and shared online by Steve ‘OnLeaks’ Hemmerstoffer and How to I Solve. Additional materials include a 360-degree movie showcasing the Pixel Fold from every conceivable angle. You may view it at the top of the website, and we also have some concept art down here.

Images posted by YouTuber Jon Prosser last month appear to be on target with the video and renderings. This includes a slim profile, three cameras on the back (arranged in a bar like the Pixel 7 Pro), and a hole punched out of the middle of the 5.79-inch screen.

When we go to the creased screen, we can see that there are bezels and a selfie camera. If you were expecting for the return of the Pixel 4’s 3D face unlock technology, you’ll be disappointed to see that there are no facial recognition sensors present. The width of the foldable screen is stated to be 7.69 inches.

Both Hemmerstoffer and the outlet state that it is 158.7 x 139.7 x 5.7mm in size. The added thickness of the camera makes the device 8.3mm thick.

The Pixel Fold appears to be broader than the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Oppo Find N, and it will be in the centre of the pack in terms of height, according to the specifications. The Z Fold 4 has dimensions of 155.1 by 130.1 by 6.3 millimetres, while the foldable by Oppo is 132.6 by 140.2 by 8 millimetres.
