There may not be as many significant changes in Apple’s iOS 17 as originally anticipated

Apple will devote most of its resources in 2023 on developing its mixed-reality headset, which has been in development for several years and might be released this year.

Gurman claims that Apple is reducing the number of new features in iOS 17 so it can concentrate on the operating system for the mixed-reality headset. It’s possible that the next software upgrade, now dubbed Dawn, will not include as many substantial changes as first anticipated. According to the rumour, this will also be true for iPadOS 17 and macOS 14.

iOS 16 delivered a number of game-changing improvements, but the update was plagued by bugs and instability. Therefore, Apple may wish to prioritise the operating system for its next mixed-reality headgear while simultaneously focusing on increasing the reliability of its software.

Even if iOS 17 doesn’t bring any substantial updates, the rumour mill suggests the next iPhone’s hardware will blow you away. It’s expected that all four of the rumoured forthcoming devices will include the Dynamic Island, despite sharing the same dimensions as the iPhone 14. Furthermore, the phone is said to implement USB Type-C and faster CPUs.

It has been speculated that Apple may reveal its mixed-reality headset during this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference in June. The gadget is rumoured to be dubbed Reality Pro, while the xrOS operating system is mentioned. Several programmers have begun making apps for the new Apple system.

Beyond the mixed-reality headset, Gurman claims there won’t be many surprises on Apple’s 2023 product plan.
