According to Baton Rouge General, earwax, medically known as cerumen, is produced naturally in your ears to protect them. Wax might adhere to the earphones and accumulate germs if you use them frequently.
If you own some form of earbuds with detachable silicone tips, such as the AirPods Pro or JBL Reflect Flow Pro, you’re in luck since they’re a bit simpler to maintain.
Keep the tips of your wireless earphones clean by washing them in warm soapy water for 30 minutes. If they’re really filthy, you may agitate the container to help loosen the gunk.

Apple offers a few cleaning tips for your AirPods. To clean the outside surfaces, use a disinfecting or alcohol wipe, but not on the speaker mesh.
