In Texas and California, Amazon has started using drones to deliver orders

According to Ars Technica, Amazon is testing experimental drone deliveries of customer orders in California and Texas, with the eventual goal of sending parcels flying to customers’ homes within an hour.

Amazon Prime Air, the company’s drone delivery service, has already delivered a small number of parcels to customers’ backyards in Lockeford, California, and College Station, Texas, in the days leading up to Christmas.

Our goal is to release our drones into the air without causing any harm. For now, we’re focusing on these areas, but Amazon Air spokeswoman Natalie Banke told KTXL Fox 40 that the company plans to expand delivery service to additional consumers in the future.
