Latest Intel processors and cutting-edge artificial intelligence are just the beginning for Dell’s PowerEdge services

To “accelerate performance and reliability” and provide more affordable options, Dell has announced not one but thirteen new PowerEdge servers powered by 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors.

Customers appreciate Dell’s “easily managed yet sophisticated” solutions, according to Jeff Boudreau, president and general manager of the company’s Infrastructure Solutions Group. The next generation of PowerEdge servers “raises the bar in power efficiency, performance, and reliability,” according to him.

Earlier in 2023, Intel released their newest Xeon processors, boasting increased performance and decreased power consumption; Dell is counting on these improvements to make its most recent servers more environmentally friendly.

The Latest PowerEdge from Dell

The PowerEdge HS5610 and HS5620 servers, available in 1U and 2U sizes respectively, are being introduced with this news.

The company claims that the PowerEdge R760, which is also brand new, will be up to 2.9 times better at AI inferencing thanks to the inclusion of the latest Xeon chip.

The airflow has been improved by as much as 52% compared to the previous model. Together, this and the accompanying performance enhancements will aid businesses in cutting their energy consumption.

In addition to hardware updates, Dell has also released a number of updates to its management and deployment tools, such as the Dell CloudIQ monitoring platform, Dell ProDeploy services, and the Dell iDRAC9 remote access controller (remote access controller).

The R760 is scheduled for worldwide release in February 2023, followed by two months later in April by a pair of HS-branded servers and more units in the first half of the year.
